These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of flawcheck.org and content published by FlawCheck (“FlawCheck,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

Purpose of the website

FlawCheck publishes downside-first product reviews, comparisons, buying guides and editorial analysis. Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not professional, financial, legal, medical, safety, repair or engineering advice, and it is not a substitute for inspecting a product, reading official instructions or obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances.

Research labels and editorial judgment

Articles may be based on hands-on testing, source-based research, provisional information or clearly labeled rumors. The relevant article and our Methodology explain the evidence level. Ratings, downside scores, price thresholds and verdicts are editorial opinions, not laboratory certifications or guarantees that every unit or user will have the same experience.

Specifications, prices, availability, warranties, software-support promises and seller terms can change. Check important facts with the manufacturer, retailer or service provider before buying, installing, repairing or relying on a product.

No purchase guarantee

You are responsible for your own purchasing decisions. Product suitability depends on budget, location, seller, model number, compatibility, condition, usage and personal preference. FlawCheck does not guarantee product availability, price, performance, safety, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or eligibility for a warranty, rebate, trade-in or promotion.

Affiliate relationships and sponsored material

Some links may be affiliate links. FlawCheck may receive a commission when a qualifying purchase follows one, at no added cost to the buyer. Affiliate relationships do not determine scores or verdicts. Material relationships, free samples and sponsored content must be disclosed as described in our Affiliate Disclosure and Editorial Policy.

External websites

Links to manufacturers, retailers, publications, social platforms and other third parties are provided for convenience or sourcing. FlawCheck does not control their content, availability, security, prices, policies or business practices. A link does not mean we endorse every statement or product on the destination website. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise identified, the website’s original text, scoring systems, page design, graphics and FlawCheck branding are owned by or licensed to FlawCheck and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Product names, trademarks and third-party images belong to their respective owners and are used for identification, commentary, comparison or other lawful purposes.

You may access and print reasonable portions for personal, non-commercial use. You may link to FlawCheck and quote brief portions with clear attribution. You may not reproduce complete articles, republish substantial portions, remove attribution, sell or license our content, systematically scrape the site, train a commercial dataset on protected content, or create a substitute publication without prior written permission or another valid legal basis.

User submissions

If you send a correction, product evidence, suggestion or other material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, confidentiality, copyright or other rights. Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, malicious or sensitive material.

You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant FlawCheck a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, store, reproduce, verify, edit and use that material as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate a claim, correct an article or publish an attributed or anonymized editorial update. Tell us before submission if material must remain confidential; FlawCheck does not promise confidentiality unless expressly agreed in writing.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Interfere with the website, bypass access controls or probe for vulnerabilities without authorization.
• Introduce malware, automated abuse or excessive requests that disrupt service.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with FlawCheck.
• Use the website to violate law or another person’s rights.
• Copy, frame or present FlawCheck content in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship, authorship or endorsement.

Search engines and ordinary feed readers may crawl publicly permitted pages in accordance with our robots directives. Permission to crawl does not waive intellectual-property rights.

Corrections and copyright concerns

We welcome documented corrections under our Corrections Policy. To report an alleged copyright violation, email [email protected] with identification of the protected work, the FlawCheck URL, your contact information, a statement of your good-faith belief and evidence that you own or are authorized to act for the relevant right. False or abusive notices may have legal consequences.

Availability and changes

We may add, update, suspend or remove content or website features at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent archives or continued coverage of any product. Significant factual corrections are handled under our published correction practices.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. FlawCheck does not warrant that content is complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular decision, or that the website will be uninterrupted, secure or free of harmful components. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlawCheck and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, personal purchasing losses or product failures arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or a linked service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. These limitations do not apply where prohibited or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Do not use email or social messages to send passwords, payment information, private keys or confidential personal records.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the website, business practices or law. The effective date will be updated. Material changes may be highlighted on the website. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Severability and no waiver

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are subject to applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived. Before filing a claim, contact us and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. Any unresolved dispute must be brought before a court or tribunal with lawful jurisdiction over the parties and the dispute.
